Last year, during the BLM riots, electronic artist Lydon and I wrote a piece that spoke on the struggles of the black experience. All proceeds of the track went to charity. We were able to raise $100 for the Bail Project and Black Lives Matter LA.

This year, in celebration of Juneteenth, I wanted to post a piece that I originally made as part of a collaboration with the artist Zeal Harris. (Be sure to check out her art at the link above!) For more info, including a choreographed dance to this piece, check the video below.

This piece chronicles the lives of historical black individuals and their success in the foundation of Southern California. A companion piece to the song released last year, "Ancestors (In Three Parts)" reminds us that black joy is always possible.
Hope you all enjoy!
